"Unsteady On Our Feet"
"A beautiful album which will have you toe-tapping along"
"...a really vibrant energy to the whole album - all the songs contribute such a range of style and content."
The debut album. Has arrived.
“Unsteady On Our Feet” was recorded in 2016 thanks to the backing of a successful crowdfunding campaign.
The album traces the arc of those astonishing adventures that happen when you catch the tail of flying romance, hold tight and let yourself go, never planning things wisely, losing yourself in excitable wonder. The idiocy of romantic idealism. Ridiculous expectations. Brilliant love. And the sense of loss when it inevitably transmutes into memories that fray with time.
Upbeat, heartfelt and genuine, with a good deal of vulnerability, the album avoids singer-songwriter self-indulgence and is musically diverse, fun and entertaining. Recorded with old school values and cutting edge techniques. Gaz Williams helped draw out the heart of each song and give each one its unique sonic footprint, so the album has variety too – from ballad, to pop, to rock, to bluegrass.
“Self-deprecating wit, fluid style, finely tuned descriptions and a memorable voice.” – Strata Books
A Meander Through the Metaphysics of Music
Curiosity and an inability to perfectly tune a guitar inspired David Green to go on an adventure into music that took him all over the world, back in time and deep into the heart of music.
Where does music come from? What is it for? Why does it move us so? Do the laws of Harmony dictate the structure of the world?
Follow David as he first finds his Music Master and then embarks on a fascinating journey of discovery that ultimately led to the publication of his ground-breaking novel, The Musician.
Drawing on extensive research, David reframes the narrative history of music in a way that asks us to reexamine our beliefs and rekindle our sense of wonder, not just with music, but with everything. The talk will include a live performance with tracks from the new album ‘Unsteady On Our Feet’.
“…thrilling, intense, a profound meditation on music.”
Christopher Somerville – The Times
